My approach has developed as a gentle alternative to the
interventional approach taken by most mainstream
physicians. As doctor visits have gotten shorter and
medicating children has become not just accepted but the
norm, children are now just smaller chronically ill members
of our society. Many physicians focus only on the part of
the body that is symptomatic. I take a detailed history in
order to integrate all the systemic issues to find a common
underlying problem. By doing this, I am able to treat the
whole child rather than just one particular area.
I believe that children are vibrant beings that are
resilient, so long as they are given the appropriate tools
to repair, replenish and restore the needs of their bodies.
This means that I consider medication to be the last step,
after first employing nutrition, vitamins and gentle
complementary approaches designed for the individual child.
